Total Club Destruction

A phun album wiht all the latest club/Amiga scene tracks by die nmi! in one place. Disrupted only by strange "lost tapes" with mostly unreleased material in superiour cassette tape quality! The comment of Sijyah the cat summarizes it all: "Meow!"

Total Club Destruction

This album can be described from at least two perspectives: A kind of downplaying one, and a more cheery one. We should start with downplaying, shall we? This Album is a lazy one, even boring maybe, if you followed die nmi! or his β€œHerr Irrtum!” persona over the last 5 years. There is almost nothing else than all the tracks he did in that time frame bundled together in one album. Originally planned to be released as an EP, it soon appeared that the track count would be way higher than expected. So it’s an album then. At least some tracks are better mastered now.

But here is the bright side: The phun factor of this album is immense, alone from the nice little disruptions coming from the β€œlost tape” tracks, seemingly coming from real tapes. Actually there was a lot of effort put into those tape sections, including sampling and embedding analogue glitches from a cassette tape from the artists private collection recorded in 1988. So yes, this is an artificial tape effect, but not created by just using a plugin but with lots of manual fine tuning. Also most of the lost tapes contain material previously unreleased. And on top of all that comes the sheer pleasure of having all the kewl club tracks by die nmi! in one place ready to blast away all your worries!!
